FROM JULIA: i wouldn’t call this a present day recommendation, but if i’m speaking to foods that shaped my childhood, this is canon. my mom has never been a cook so growing up my siblings and i subsisted on a suite of amy’s frozen products - the bean and cheese burrito, the coveted pizza burrito and mac and cheese, and the tofu pot pie. this pot pie was less popular with my siblings and therefore more available to me, lower in the pecking order and often getting last pick from the freezer. the packaging hasn’t changed since the 90’s and is so nostalgic to me, and every time i eat a pot pie i think of this one, my first ever, the ultimate snack for a person who’s only allowed to use the microwave
